Dr. Howard Holderness, Jr, MD, FACS
Training at the UNC-CH School of Medicine and Stanford University has afforded Howard Holderness, MD to bring the best of plastic surgery to the Greensboro area. During his training at Stanford, he was selected to receive a 2 year National Cancer Institute grant which gave him the privilege of working as part of a team of world renowned surgeons, radiotherapist and medical oncologist.
With this excellent training opportunity and 40 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Holderness has built a reputation as one of the Piedmont's most experienced, talented and conscientious plastic surgeons. Currently, he is the only plastic surgeon in Greensboro who is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is well known for his dedication to his patients. He focuses on personalized care and patient education as he feels knowledge equips the patient to be an integral part of the decision making process regarding any procedure or treatment.
Dr. Frank M. Houston, MC, FAAD
A graduate of LSU School of Medicine, Dr. Houston completed an internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital following which he served 2 years in the US Army as a Captain MC at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama receiving the Army Commendation Medal upon discharge. He returned to Johns Hopkins and completed a residency and fellowship in Dermatology following which he began a 44 year private Dermatology practice with Greensboro Dermatology Associates.
Dr. Houston is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of The Dermatology Foundation and The American Skin Association, serving on the scientific advisory committee to the Board of Directors. He was associate adjunct professor of Dermatology at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He is a member of the NC Medical Society and the Royal Society of Medicine.
